AI is eating our breakfast.

At least, that’s how Jesse Ringer described what’s happening inside his SEO agency.

And honestly, I think a lot of agency owners can relate.

The rules that worked a few years ago are changing fast.

Clients want to know exactly where their money is going.

Google is sending less traffic.

AI can produce “good enough” content for a fraction of the cost.

And suddenly, proving the value of what you do has gotten a whole lot harder.

But here’s the interesting part.

Jesse doesn’t think AI is simply destroying the agency model.

He thinks it’s creating an opportunity for agencies willing to become more human.

We got into what that actually means.

We also talked about:

  • The painful transition from consultant → agency

  • Why going back to the office completely changed how Jesse managed his team

  • The hidden downside of limiting your hiring pool to one city

  • And the simple mindset shift that makes agency problems feel a lot less terrifying

There’s one part of the conversation where Jesse explains why the problems that keep you up at night today probably won’t feel nearly as big a few years from now.

That one stuck with me.
