The more people that were hired, the worse the job got.

This was a founder I worked with a couple of years ago.

He had grown the agency to $20-30K/month.

It had contractors.

It had clients.

The founder was doing what you're “supposed” to do.

So when the founder got busy, he hired more people.

Problem solved, right?

Not even close.

He was still working 70-80 hours a week.

He was still jumping on client calls.

Still catching mistakes.

Still fixing bad work.

Still putting out fires.

He had delegated the work

but he hadn't delegated ownership.

And that's a trap I see way too often.

You can build a team that executes tasks without you and still have an agency that completely depends on you.

The real question is:

What happens when something goes wrong?

Who notices?

Who makes the decision?

Who fixes it?

And who makes sure it doesn't happen again?

I break down exactly how I helped this founder redesign his agency around those questions.

You'll hear how we created:

  • Clear ownership instead of just assigning tasks

  • A flow of information that surfaced problems before he had to find them

  • A management rhythm that actually turned information into action

And the result?

He went from working 70-80 hours a week to running a seven-figure agency with a team of 10.

He doesn't attend client calls anymore.

And he recently took a two week vacation, something he couldn't do before.
