I got the chance to reconnect with one of my old media buyers. He started his own agency, and he is CRUSHING.

But it hasn’t been without challenges.

In my latest conversation with Matteo Denegri, we talked about one of the hardest transitions agency owners face.

Not getting clients or running better ads….

Letting go of being the person who has to do everything.

Matteo shared how he went from freelancing at $5/hour to building an agency managing millions in monthly ad spend.

What surprised me most wasn't the growth, it was the moments where he almost didn't make the decisions that enabled it.

Hiring his first media buyer.

Handing client communication to account managers.

Trusting that clients weren't buying him, they were buying the outcome.

We also get into:

  • Why referrals became their biggest growth engine.

  • The hidden cost of staying "lean" for too long.

  • The mindset shift that compounds faster than revenue ever will.

If you're somewhere between freelancer and agency owner or trying to break through your current ceiling, I think you'll get a lot out of this one.
