Back in the early days when my agency was very chaotic, I always assumed that my team was the cause of the chaos. They were constantly missing deadlines and just dropping balls regularly. I had this constant feeling that nobody cared nearly as much as I did and I honestly resented them for it. So I did what most agency owners do:

  • I booked more meetings with them.

  • I created stacks of SOPs.

  • I was constantly checking in with them on Slack.

You know what changed? Nothing. Nothing got any better. In fact if anything things just got worse because the real issue wasn't my team. The issue was that I had zero visibility into anything: no visibility into performance or into problems or into what actually mattered.

This meant that I was the system and every problem escalated to me. Every issue needed me to solve it and every decision needed my approval or nothing would happen and that's why I could never get out of delivery. In this episode I break down the exact system I wish I had built earlier. The one that finally let me step out. The one that finally let me step back without everything breaking. In the episode I'll walk you through:

  • the five visibility layers that remove you as the bottleneck

  • why more data is actually making your agency worse

  • the simple shift that turns complaints into real accountability

Toward the end I'll even share how you can literally build this system yourself step by step.

That’s not the answer.

The real fix is what those dashboards should be showing you and what happens when they don’t.

I break that down near the end.
